Ruth Jacobson
Office Manager
Ruth has been our Office Manager and the hub around which our practice has revolved for the last 23 years. She is also, of course, Dr. Bailey’s wife of 55 years and Dr. Ron’s Mom. She started at the front desk handling pretty much everything; appointments, staff issues, patient finances, insurance and anything else we needed. In the last few years, she has been concentrating on patient finances, insurance and communication with patients and referring Dentists. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, playing Mah Jong and Canasta, and even a little poker thrown in from time to time. For any questions or issues concerning your account or insurance trouble, she’s the “go-to” girl and we would be lost without her.
Lili
My name is Liliana (they call me Lili for short), and I have been with Jacobson Orthodontics since May 2008. Currently I am the Financial/Treatment Coordinator, but I will help anyone with anything they need. I've been an Optical Manager for six years and am happy to share my experience at the office. I've recently married the love of my life and hope to experience being a parent. My husband and I are currently busy with our four dogs: three Yorkies, and a Chihuahua, and yes they all get along wonderfully believe it or not! I enjoy watching movies, traveling, and playing softball. I'm usually the one in the office that replies to most of the e-mails that the office gets, so if I can help you in any way, let me know!
Maria
Hello, I am Maria and I have been working with the Jacobson Orthodontics family for eight wonderful years. I started this journey working chairside, assisting our doctors and working directly with patients. For the past few years, I have learned to deliver exceptional service and quality care at the front desk. To see the confidence and beautiful smiles of our patients, both adults and children alike, is a truly rewarding experience. There is no kind of training that can prepare you for that. I would have to say that is the absolute favorite part of my job. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two beautiful boys ages 5 and 7 and we also have a three month old puppy named Coco. We enjoy taking our kids anywhere and everywhere, from the movies to the library, or simply being at home enjoying each other’s company. When I am not running around at work or at home, my top three favorite things to do are reading, watching movies and listening to good music.

I have been working for the Jacobson’s off and on for over 32 years. So I guess you would say there is something special about them. I enjoy working here at Jacobson Orthodontics. The part I enjoy most is interacting with the patients and the staff. I have been blessed to be a part of the team at Jacobson Orthodontics. I enjoy life; I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and three great children. We love spending time together as a family – when we manage to have all of us together. My husband and I love to serve people less fortunate than us - our dream is to serve people in other countries.
Eloisa
Hi there! My name is Eloisa and I have lived in Chicago my whole life. I joined the Jacobson Orthodontic family as a summer job, while still in high school. Little did I know it was going to be a wonderful learning experience. Today, almost 13 years later, I continue with Jacobson Orthodontics as a Treatment Coordinator. I like meeting new people and making the patients feel comfortable in our office. I feel like a job well done is when the families that come to the office have a reassuring smile on their face. But, what I take pride in the most is knowing that I work for excellent doctors and wonderful people. Outside of my work family, I have my own loving family. My husband Martin, our son Juan, daughter Lexi, and I enjoy watching movies, playing sports, singing, and dancing.
Alix
My name is Maria Alix, but everyone calls me Alix. I was born in New York City, but my family moved back to Bucaramanga, Colombia when I was about 5 years old. After graduating high school, I attended college in Bogota, Colombia and then went on to Dental school in Guadalajara, Mexico. After school, I worked as both a general and a pediatric dentist in the public and private sector. I decided to moved to Chicago ten years ago and have I’ve been working for Jacobson Orthodontics for over eight years. I recently married Kevin Kneip, a Chicago public school teacher who’s the head of the English department at Benito Juarez Community Academy. Together we live in Albany Park with our high maintenance black and white cat, Tikka. I enjoy working out at the gym, dancing to Colombian music, and spending time with family and friends. I love to travel and my husband and I have been to interesting places such as: Machu Pichu, Belize; Niagara Falls; and Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm also an active member of CUPULA, a Colombian organization that raises money to give college scholarships to young Latinos, and "De Colombia Para Ti," where we raise money to support a school in a small town in Colombia.

My name is Leticia (Letty for short). I have been working in the dental field since 1995 as a Dental Assistant and have been with Jacobson Orthodontics as a Clinical Assistant since 2007. My favorite thing about the orthodontic field is that we do not just create beautiful smiles, but also build confidence and great self-esteem for the patients. When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my husband and two boys, Eduardo and Terry. I also enjoy watching and cheering for my two boys soccer teams. I'm their #1 fan!

Hi, my name is Elva and I was originally born in Mexico. I enjoy being around the people I love and my favorite things to do are: traveling, cooking, and watching movies. As a personal goal, I try my best to be the greatest mom to my two deserving children, Shanell and Sadot. I have been in the orthodontic field as a clinical assistant since 1995, and have had the pleasure of being part of Dr. Jacobson's wonderful team since 2005. I love what I do, and any patient that comes to our office has chosen the best place for a beautiful smile!

Hi, my name is Beverly. I have worked in all areas of dentistry that you can imagine, and have been working for Jacobson Orthodontics since August of 2008. Our staff is very progressive, using cutting-edge technology and always encouraging staff to challenge themselves. I look forward to coming to work each day and interacting with a friendly staff and patients. In my spare time, I work with group homes for disadvantaged youths.

Hello! My name is Teofilo Villaflores. They call me "Jun." I am 101% Filipino - born and raised in the Philippines. In 1980, I attained my dental degree at Manila Central University. Prior to migrating to the United States, I was a dental practitioner in my home country for 13 years. I have been working at Jacobson Orthodontic Associates for 12 years as an in-house lab technician. I enjoy being part of the team, doing laboratory work as well as other dental “stuff.”

Hi, my name is Jen. I have been working in orthodontics since May of 2008, and joined the Jacobson Orthodontic family in February 2009 as an Assistant and Lab Technician. I enjoy working with everyone at Jacobson Ortho, and they are a great team. My only downfall is sweets; they just taste so good! My activities outside of the office include: concerts (I love Michael Buble), movies, novels, my dog, spending time with loved ones, and sports (I am a die-hard Cubs and Bears fan).

Hi, my name is Kristen. I have been working in orthodontics for 18 years, 13 years with Jacobson Orthodontics as a Clinical Supervisor and Lab Technician. Helping create beautiful smiles has always been rewarding to me. I have been happily married for 11 years and have two amazing daughters. We enjoy spending time outdoors during our short Midwest summers and hope to move south someday.

Hello, my name is Lucie. I am originally from the Czech Republic, where I studied to be a dietician/nutritionist. I have been part of the Jacobson Orthodontics team since the Fall of 2005. I enjoy working and interacting with people of all ages who come to our office – at the end of the day I look back and I see smiling faces that we have helped to create. At home, I like to look at the smiles of my family - my husband and two amazing children. I like to travel. I am passionate about food - both to cook and to eat and I love country music.
